Unlike the other lines, this line tends to alter significantly based on whether the sun shines or not! IE this list of stockists will increase in summer months. All we need is that barbecue summer they keep promising!
You know when you've eaten something, but it just lacks that little something extra? You can't quite put your finger on it but it could taste just that little bit better with the addition of that little something extra. Well that was us with Barbecue sauce. We knew what we wanted and we knew the flavours that said Barbecue to us. But how do you then translate those flavour memories from thoughts to sauce?
This was our challenge. We needed a MAN•MEAT•FIRE® Barbecue sauce.
Over time we have tasted lots of barbecue sauces from all around the world to see if there was anything out there that matched our requirements. But, to be honest we were disappointed. Now, don’t get us wrong there are some damn fine sauces out there but they just didn’t float our boat for one reason or another.
We needed a barbecue sauce that was versatile and that would compliment rather than over power the food on which it was poured.
We needed a sauce with body, a sauce with layers of flavour with which to excite the palate. And after many hours of fun, and some tears, we created the MAN•MEAT•FIRE® Barbecue sauce.
It's sweet with just hint of sour. It's slightly sharp yet with a nice tang. It's spicy with a little bit of a kick but not too much. It is fruity but not fake. It's slightly smoky but not artificial.
But most importantly we think it has that little something extra. PASSION.
We love our sauce and hope you enjoy it too.
How to use MAN•MEAT•FIRE® Barbecue sauce.
In short , use it how you want. There is no right or wrong way to use our barbecue sauce but there are a couple of tips on how to get the best out of it.
As a condiment pour a dollop on anything from sausages to cheese on toasted.
As a marinade, brush some over steaks burgers kebabs or shellfish 5 minutes before the end of cooking. Then pour some warm sauce over before serving.
When making ribs remember to remove the membrane attached to the inner side of the ribs. Then boil the ribs in plenty of seasoned water along with the juice of one or two lemons /limes or a glass of orange juice. Simmer until the meat starts to slightly lift off the bone. Remove and cool before covering with a little of the sauce. Ensuring that the ribs have a light coating of barbecue sauce. Once, cooled either finish off in the oven or on the barbecue. Then pour some warm sauce over the ribs before serving.
As a sauce, add to stir fries casseroles and chilli con carne for a little added oomph! Or just dip your chips instead of Ketchup.
Enjoy!
